In this article, we will take a closer look at the new pricing plans and how you can benefit from the paid CVAT features.

Finding the best plan for you

Currently, there are several options available for app.cvat.ai: Free, Pro, and Team plans. The Free and Pro plans are for user accounts, and the Team plan is for organizations.

On the Free plan the monthly payment is $0.
On the Pro plan the monthly payment is 33$.
On the Team plan the monthly payment is $33 per organization member.

The Free plan offers you the opportunity to get a firsthand experience with CVAT and familiarize yourself with its features and capabilities. It's a good choice if you are new to the platform or if you want to get a general feel of how CVAT works before deciding whether to upgrade to a paid plan.

You will benefit from the Free plan if you are:

• A student or researcher who needs to annotate a limited amount of data for personal projects and does not require a lot of collaboration or flexibility.
• A small business or startup with a limited budget and need to annotate small amounts of data.
• An individual or a small team working on simple projects that don't require customization.

The paid plans are a good choice if you are working on complex projects or if you have specific requirements for annotation workflows. For example, you need to efficiently annotate a large volume of data or maintain real-time collaboration with team members on a project. In such cases, the paid plans will be a good fit for your needs as it offers customization options, including additional resources and support, which can be helpful for these types of tasks.

You will benefit from the paid plans if you are:

• A data scientist who works with large volumes of data and the Free plan limits are too restrictive for you.
• A company or an organization with large volumes of data that needs to be annotated fast, reliably, and efficiently.
• A professional annotation team that needs access to advanced annotation tools, customization options, and integration with other tools.

Upgrading to a paid plan

Pro plan for individuals

After registering in CVAT, you will be assigned the Free plan automatically.

To switch to the Pro plan for an individual, go to app.cvat.ai and log in to your account, then from the drop-down menu, select Upgrade to Pro.

This will take you to the pricing page, where you can see the proposal. Review the features of the Pro plan and if you have any questions, click Talk to sales.

Team plan for organizations

As for user accounts, there are plans for organizations in CVAT. Currently, an organization can have the Free plan or the Team plan.

Please note that the plans for organizations are separate from the plans for individual user accounts. For example, a user can have the Free plan while being a part of an organization with the Team plan. If a user with a Pro plan owns multiple organizations, each organization will have its own separate plan.

By default, after you create an organization, it will have the Free plan. You can upgrade this plan to the Team plan.

‍

To switch to the Team plan for an organization, go to app.cvat.ai and log in to your account and switch to the organization. Then, from the drop-down menu, select Upgrade to Team.

This will take you to the pricing page, where you can see the proposal. Review the features of the Team plan and if you have any questions, click Talk to sales.

Checkout

If you do not have any questions, click Get started. The checkout page will appear. Complete all required fields on the checkout page.

Click Subscribe. And done! You will receive a confirmation in your email. The plan will automatically prolongate on the same day every month.
